The goal of Alberta Beyond Coal is to support the people and communities that are building a future that will protect our Rockies and rivers.
We can expand to more communities with more volunteer interest. We will contact volunteers in the communities that the campaign will expand to next.

What volunteer roles are available?
There are a variety of roles available, including delivering flyers to coordinating volunteers.
Mail Drop Volunteer: Door to door (no contact) delivery of campaign information to residential mail boxes. No apartment buildings. Many people enjoy the physical activity of delivering in their community. You can cover as small or large an area of your community as you’d like. Every contribution helps.
Mail Drop Coordinator: Coordinating mail drop volunteers in a designated area. Requires a highly organized people with attention to detail, ease with maps and coordination, enjoys working with people, willing to deliver / provide pick up of / store mail drop boxes for volunteers. Coordinators have time and capacity to take on a higher level of campaign responsibility.
Lawn Sign Delivery Volunteer: Ongoing lawn sign delivery in your community. This (likely) requires a vehicle and the time and capacity to pick up and deliver / install signs reliably.
Lawn Sign Delivery Coordinator: Coordinating lawn sign volunteers in a designated area. Requires a highly organized person with attention to detail, ease with spreadsheets, maps and coordination, capacity to provide delivery lists & maps for volunteers (data provided by the campaign team), enjoys working with people, willing to deliver / provide pick up of / store lawn signs for volunteers. Coordinators have time and capacity to take on a higher level of campaign responsibility.

What roles are most helpful?
One of the most helpful roles is mail drop. This role involves no contact and door-to-door delivery of campaign information. It drives the ground campaign by raising awareness and prompting supporters to contact their elected representatives and order a lawn sign.
What can I expect from volunteering?
After you fill out a form, a volunteer coordinator will contact you if we need volunteers in your community. From there, we will connect you will the role that you are most interested in.
